Mountain Herbs

OXALIS spent a long time endeavouring to source herbs locally from pristine environments, where rules governing ecological farming are observed. As a result, we have started cooperating with a project that meets our strict criteria in neighbouring Slovakia, north of a village called Východná at the foot of the majestic Kriváň mountain. The high altitudes and associated climate of the area, quality of the soil, clean air and sufficient rainfall provide favourable conditions for producing herbs and soft fruit sustainably. This in turn allows us to make high quality products from them that are also certified as organic. These superior herbs - sourced as they are from a mountainous locality without a trace of conventional farming techniques – go into unique recipes devised in-house with an aroma, colour and taste of their own. We have created seven blends to date that really showcase just how fine these herbs are.
