Honeybush

The Honeybush plant is a relative of rooibos, which grows wild in South Africa. Therefore, pickers carry it in loads on their backs when harvesting it. It gets its name from the arresting honey-like aroma it gives off.

Health benefits

Boasting very favourable effects on the human organism, Honeybush works against allergies and sleep disorders, and contains a lot of important vitamins and minerals. It also aids digestive conditions, and actually promotes an appetite for food. It doesn’t contain caffeine (called theine in tea), so is suitable for all ages and can be drunk without limitation every day.

Preparation

Pour hot water over one teaspoon of Honeybush, allow to steep for five minutes, and, hey presto, it’s ready to drink.
