Sourced from the Motherland Farmers estate near the village of Kamiro in Nyamagabe District, its owner, Fred Kasigwa, has been producing high quality coffee in association with other growers for generations. The terroir of volcanic soil and plantation’s altitude of 1,700-2,000 m.a.s.l. inform the coffee’s taste - a note of forest honey emerges first, which gradually turns into a strong tone of grapefruit. In addition to this citrusy edge, cocoa bean is evident in the aroma. The acidity is lemony and the body is beautifully rich.
Preparation: For 100 ml of water allow 7 g of ground coffee. Use hot water at 93-94°C. Keep in a cool and dry place, in an airtight container. Further instructions for preparation: www.oxalis.cz/making-coffee
