Although the tea is produced in the facilities of the Satemwa tea garden, it actually harks from a small grower, Jonas Makata. His tea garden was founded in 1976 and covers around 1 hectare in size. Satemwa only buys the best tea leaves from him, for which Jonas gets a fair price. The long, brown-black leaves create an infusion with an aroma and taste reminiscent of prune, light rum and chocolate.
Preparation guidelines: Allow 1 teaspoon of tea for each 1.5 dl of water and one more for the teapot. Add freshly boiled water and leave it to infuse for 3-5 minutes. Sieve and serve. Suitable for 1-2 infusions.
