roasted coffee beans (100% arabica)

Description

Sourced from the Motherland Farmers estate near the village of Kamiro in Nyamagabe District, its owner, Fred Kasigwa, has been producing high quality coffee in association with other growers for generations. The terroir of volcanic soil and plantation’s altitude of 1,700-2,000 m.a.s.l. inform the coffee’s taste - a note of forest honey emerges first, which gradually turns into a strong tone of grapefruit. In addition to this citrusy edge, cocoa bean is evident in the aroma. The acidity is lemony and the body is beautifully rich.

preparation

Preparation: select the correct grind of coffee corresponding to the method for preparing your favourite type. For 100 ml of water allow 7 g of ground coffee. Use hot water of 93-94°C. Keep in a cool and dry place, in an airtight container. Further instructions for preparation here: http://www.oxalis.cz/making-coffee

Composition

This coffee is produced on the farm called Motherland Farmers located in the Nyamagabe district near the village of Kamiro. Its excellent taste is due to the volcanic soil and plantation’s altitude of 1,700 - 2,000 m above sea level. The taste initially reveals a note of forest honey, which gradually turns into a strong tone of grapefruit. In addition to this citrusy edge, cocoa bean is evident in the aroma. The acidity is lemony, the body is beautifully rich.
