Preparation guidelines: Allow 1 teaspoon of tea for each 1.5 dl of water and one more for the teapot. Add freshly boiled water and leave it to infuse for 3-5 minutes. Sieve and serve. Suitable for 1 infusion.
This Kenyan tea is produced at the Kangaita tea factory, which was set up in 1965. It lies on the southern slope of Mount Kenya at the altitude of 2,036 m, affording a splendid view of snowy mountain peaks. The regular black leaves with occasional golden tips give a clear infusion, which is brown in colour. Its taste and aroma accentuate orange with mild tones of sandalwood.
