loose leaf black tea
Handcrafted tea from the innovative Tea Studio factory, which was established in 2018 in the Nilgiri Mountains. It is located at an altitude of 1850 m in the middle of picturesque tea gardens. The tea leaf collection is done in a unique way - only collecting the bud and one leaf below it. The elongated, twisted black leaves create a light brown infusion. The sweet aroma of Turkish honey dominates in the taste and a delicious baked apple aroma appears at the end.
Preparation guidelines: pour boiling water over the tea in a ratio of 1.5 dl to 1 teaspoon. If you are infusing in a teapot, then add one additional teaspoon per teapot. Leave to infuse for 3-5 minutes. Then strain. It is possible to prepare 1 infusion only.

Tea grown at the Roof of the World is stronger than the types from nearby Darjeeling. Containing a large number of golden tips or buds, the short brown-black leaves give rise to a yellow-brown infusion with an aroma and taste reminiscent of meadow honey.

A notable aspect of this tea is that the leaves are rolled into small pellets, which result in a dark infusion with a mahogany hue. The flavour is rich, sweet, malty and exquisitely smooth with a short finish. It drinks well with milk.
