The plantation’s name comes from the breathtaking view it affords of snow-capped Himalayan mountains. Surrounded by three large forest reserves, wildlife such as elephants, bison, leopards, deer, wild boar and rhino bathe in the Moortee that flows through the estate. Boasting a rich ecosystem, it is a partner of the Wildlife Enterprise, which seeks to protect elephant populations. It has received an award for being the first "elephant-friendly tea garden" in the Darjeeling area. Comprising a mixture of neat, large leaves complemented by light tips, the tea brews to make a pale yellow liquor that is suggestive of green apple, sweet peach and early oats in its aroma and taste.
Preparation guidelines: Use 10 g of tea (approx. 6 heaped tsp) for 1 l of water at the temperature of 85°C. Allow to infuse for 3 minutes, then strain. Suitable for 1 infusion.
