loose leaf black tea
Classic black tea originating in the Lankaran and Astara regions in Azerbaijan. Interestingly, tea in Azerbaijan has always been a way of binding a family together. This one is a mix of large, curled OPA (orange pekoe) leaves. These long, twisted leaves give a golden infusion with a strong and rich aroma. The taste features significant tannin combined with the sweetness of peanut nougat.
Preparation guidelines: Use 12 g of tea (approx. 6 heaped tsp) for 1 litre of freshly boiled water. Allow to infuse for 3 minutes. Strain and serve. Suitable for 1 infusion.
