1 Dear customer, after celebrating a major anniversary in 2023, we’ve taken a deep look at things this year. Although all seems calm on the surface, changes are happening to the company‘s operations. We’re altering and developing the structure of employees step by step, while preparations are underway on new projects that will be launched in the upcoming season. The aim is to further strengthen the position of the OXALIS brand in the market. Internal discussions have covered aspects such as what defines the company, its mission, vision and the values it stands for. Our wish is for fans of premium tea and coffee to think of us first when it comes to such beverages; in other words, as their go-to expert. This ambition is reflected in a slogan we’ve devised: „OXALIS - HONEST CRAFT FOR A DELICIOUS CUP.“ Core values have been established, with an emphasis on exact specification, in order to avoid empty, meaningless phrases. These are prioritised according to their importance to us. The soul of OXALIS is characterised by these guiding principles or statements and a code of ethics: FREEDOM The existence of a free and open society made establishment of the company possible. We make our own decisions. Being a purely Czech company means there’s no multinational entity behind it. „The liberty of the individual ends where the liberty of another begins.“ John Stuart Mill We aren’t shy to express ourselves and are open to the opinions of others. HONESTY We don’t look for shortcuts on the road to success. The quality and safety of foodstuffs are ensured above and beyond the usual standards. We treat each other and the public well and properly. UNIQUENESS OXALIS functions according to an original retail concept that has no parallel globally. It’s the only firm in the country to have a stake in a tea factory in a developing nation (India). Our tea blends are unique to us andmixed exclusively to our own recipes. HUMILITY The company respects endeavour, nature, history and the future. The team doesn’t take success for granted and knows it’s necessary to strive to achieve it. We’re aware of the fragility and brevity of life, as well as our smallness within the greater scheme of things. RESPONSIBILITY The impact of our activities on the future is not lost on us, nor is a commitment to generations to come. Everyone is responsible for the results of their labours. We’re careful and consistent. JOY The company conveys well-being and positive energy through its products. Our work is pleasing, bringing pleasure not only to us, but also our customers. INNOVATION We’re not afraid of change and keeping up with the times. There’s a need to constantly modernise and heighten the efficiency of production.
