8 (9)820272 Darjeeling Risheehat FTGFOP1 First Flush ORGANIC 60 1 1-2 Located at 762 – 1,463 m.a.s.l., the Risheehat Tea Estate dates back to the mid-19th century. Its name came about through the local Tsering Bagan tribe. The brown-green leaves of this tea brew to make an infusion orange-brown in colour. The taste and aroma are pleasantly sweet, hinting at forest honey, juicy orange and ripe peach. (9)820271 Darjeeling Gopaldhara SFTGFOP1 Inbetween LIMITED 60 1 1 The Gopaldhara estate lies at altitudes of up to 2,200 m.a.s.l., making it among the highest placed plantations in Darjeeling. The tea trees grow in an area encompassing 172 hectares. Showing a combination of light and dark green leaves, an infusion of this tea is ochre-yellow in appearance. The taste gives a sense of juicy yellow egg plum with tones of apricot and linden honey, which also are evident in the aroma. (9)20180 Darjeeling Nagri FTGFOP1 Second Flush NEW 60 1 1 The Nagri Tea Garden was established in 1870. Previously, cattle were raised on its territory, which is why you may also come across the name Nagri farm. For many years the garden fell into disrepair and did not prosper. However, the current owner has invested considerable resources in it, which have helped to raise the quality of local production to an excellent level. The smaller brown-black, slightly twisted leaves create an orange infusion. There is juicy orange and meadow honey in the aroma. Hazelnut also appears in the taste. (9)820188 Darjeeling Rungmook SFTGFOP 1 Second Flush ORGANIC 60 1 1 The Rungmook tea garden was established in the middle of the 19th century and is situated at the altitude of 1,700 m. The black- brown tea leaves give an infusion golden in colour, and it is a note of orange that comes through in the aroma and taste, the latter also complemented by a hint of bergamot. (9)820252 Darjeeling Ambootia FTGFOP1 Autumnal ORGANIC 60 1 1 Ambootia was one of the first tea estates founded by British colonisers and dates back to 1861. The brown leaves with occasional tips of this tea brew to make an infusion orange in hue, and a sense of that very citrus fruit comes through in the taste alongside tones of maple syrup and cacao. (9)20407 Nilgiri Kalpetta GFOP NEW 60 1 1 The garden is located at an altitude of 1400 m above sea level on the eastern slopes of the Nilgiris, which slowly descend to the Arabian Sea. Local part called Wynaad was famous for gold mining in the past. Abandoned shafts can still be seen here today. Thick black leaves create a brown-orange infusion. Cocoa husks and sweet lemon can be detected in the aroma and taste. (9)820408 Nilgiri Korakundah FOB ORGANIC NEW 60 1 1 Korakundah, with its location at an altitude of 2500 meters above sea level, can boast the title of the highest tea garden in the world. Its boundaries are adjacent to the Madhumallai Nature Reserve, which is home to a population of Bengal tigers. The elongated brown leaves create a yellow-orange infusion. Dried plum and sandalwood balance each other in aroma and taste. (9)20406 OXALIS TEA FACTORY - Nilgiri Orchid NEW 60 1 1 Handcrafted tea from the innovative Tea Studio factory, which was established in 2018 in the Nilgiri Mountains. It is located at an altitude of 1850 m amidst picturesque tea gardens. The collection is done here in a unique way – collecting only the bud and one leaf below it. The elongated, twisted black tea leaves produce a light brown infusion when watered. The taste is dominated by sweet aroma of Turkish honey and finishes with the delicious taste of baked apple. (9)20274 South India Elephant Hills NEW 60 1 1 The garden is located at an altitude of 1600 m above sea level in the Anamallais district, which is characterized by a diverse ecosystem and a number of water bodies. Many species of wildlife live in the area, including numerous herds of elephants. Watering the small black leaves creates a brown-orange infusion.
