OXALIS 2021 / 2022

2 Our cold-brew range of COOL DRINKS is widened by the additions of Matcha with Chokeberry, an organic product no less, and the intriguing combo of Matcha with Coffee, which also benefits from the extract of natural hibiscus. The catalogue now features a series of snacks under the Czech brand name of MLSÁNÍ POVOLENO (or “snacking permitted” if you wish), comprising eleven great treats that compliment tea or coffee perfectly. Give in to temptation! In the section of accessories, we’ve really focussed on aspects relating to culture and refined taste this time. To this end, students at the local Tomas Bata University in Zlín and freelance designers we partner with were set the challenge of coming up with designs for accessories and gift packs. OXALIS’ logo of a four-leaf clover appears on a mug, caddy and thermos flask with a stainless steel strainer to make it easy to brew up tea on the go. A motif for Christmas lends a caddy and mug a suitably seasonal feel. Something of a comeback is made by a highly popular image of an elephant and its calf on the side of a large bone china mug. Lastly, a number of glass teapots have been modernised, which are likely to prove a smash (so to speak) with tea fans. Those who get a kick from preparing coffee at home are well catered for. Filter coffee fans should check out the brewing pots and two sizes of porcelain drippers that have been included, while a richer brew is possible in a featured luxury moka pot from Italy. Whatever one’s preference, our double-walled glass cups are sure to show off coffee to its best. Storage is important, too, which is why we’ve created a well-sealing 500 g caddy for this purpose. Returning to the subject of gift packs, there are nine new ones to pay special attention to, amongst them a luxury set of pure Japanese teas called Japan, a revised version of the Matcha Starter Kit, the Natural Care combo of ASTRAIA cosmetic products, a Honey Delight pack showcasing our honey-based treats and Busy Bee tea, as well as a Christmas-themed one. An innovation for this catalogue is OXALIS MICROLOTS - a selection of rare coffees and teas available for a limited time only – while stocks last! These are products of extremely high quality - the grower’s the most successful type or the intriguing results of unusual processes by them. Examples include the organic teas of Darjeeling Nagri White, the hand-rolled Darjeeling Ambootia SFTGFOP1 and Darjeeling Rungmook SFTGFOP1 Mountain Mist, so-called because it’s harvested in the mist that pervades the morning. Then there’s the Costa Rica Don Jose Geisha coffee processed by the yellow honey method, a natural bourbon from the farm of Santa Cristina in El Salvador and a washed variety of cattura from the Colombian project of Carlos Mario Guamanga. Keep up-to-date on OXALIS MICROLOTS by checking our website for current availability. The popularity and sales of products are bolstered by the balance of the range and other factors too. For example, the Click & Collect service at all OXALIS retail and franchise stores allows customers to purchase products on-line from their favourite shop and pick them up pronto within 45 minutes. This will be supplemented with parcel delivery by Liftago in the autumn. We’ve been making podcasts in Czech since spring 2020, while January 2021 saw the launch of monthly subscriptions for tea and coffee. A tea and coffee bar was opened on a colonnade in the spa town of Luhačovice, followed by a similar venture called CoffeeTearia on Vodičková Street in Prague, also home to the Czech Tea Centre, which provides training and runs workshops. Exports now take in the countries of Israel, Mongolia and Moldova, plus a store with our products has opened in Brooklyn, New York (USA). Although the past twelve months haven’t been the most favourable period for innovation, OXALIS hasn’t been left behind. We believe our honest, creative endeavours will be welcomed by consumers and the brand shall continue to grow in reputation. We hope our extended assortment appeals and tempts in equal measure!
