This well produced black tea is rolled into small balls with a high content of downy tips, giving rise to a golden infusion. The aroma and taste are sweet, hinting at prune and toffee. A light hint of fine wood appears at the close.

preparation

Preparation guidelines: Bring the water to the boil and then let it cool down to 90° C. Use 12 g of tea (approx. 5 heaped tsp) for 1 litre of water. Allow to infuse for 3 minutes. Then strain. Suitable for 3 infusions.

Composition

Golden Snail originates in the autonomous region of Ning’er in the vicinity of the town of Pu Erh in Yunnan Province. Another name for this tea is Dian Hong Jin Luo; Dian is the original name for Yunnan Province, Hong denotes black tea and Jin Luo means golden snail.
