Processed by the honey method, the coffee beans are of the Venecia varietal from a farm called Hacienda Sonora located in the foothills of the famous Poás Volcano. There, Alberto and Diego Guardia - a father and his son - have been in the coffee business since the 1970s. They now grow 20 different varietals on 80 hectares, surrounded by rain forest. The aroma of the coffee is malty and chocolatey, and a combination of sweet mustard, nougat and rum praline is apparent in the taste. The body is rich and velvety and the acidity lively.
Preparation: select the correct grind of coffee corresponding to the method for preparing your favourite type. For 100 ml of water allow 7 g of ground coffee. Use hot water of 93-94°C. Keep in a cool and dry place, in an airtight container. Further instructions for preparation here: http://www.oxalis.cz/making-coffee
